Episode 59 - 5 Life Lessons I Learned Turning 50 (That I Wish I Knew Sooner)
Have you ever hit a milestone birthday that made you pause, reflect, and ask yourself what really matters?
That’s exactly where I found myself as I turned 50 this month. And while it’s been a whirlwind of book launches, travel, family, and even my first-ever surprise party (!!), it also felt like the perfect moment to share the lessons that have truly stuck with me.
In this solo episode of It’s a Mindset, I’m taking you behind the scenes of my own reflections - the five biggest lessons I’ve learned (and re-learned) that I believe can help you, no matter what chapter of life you’re in. From realising that self-worth is a daily practice (not a destination), to letting go of the need to have it all figured out, to embracing true wealth beyond money - these are the reminders that keep me grounded, inspired, and ready to step into the next chapter with courage and clarity.
For me, the biggest takeaway is this: anything is possible when you put your mind to it, especially if you give yourself permission to define wealth, success, and happiness on your own terms.
Key Episode Takeaways
- Self-worth isn’t about what you achieve, it’s about remembering you’re enough right now.
- Do what makes you happy - and stop worrying so much about pleasing everyone else.
- You don’t have to have it all figured out, curiosity and openness matter more than certainty.
- True wealth goes beyond money - it’s about meaning, connection, and experiences.
- Manifesting isn’t “woo”, it’s clarity, action, and energy aligned.
