Hi Lovely,
I’m Emma Lagerlow
Wealth & Mindset Coach, Author & Podcast Host
For more than 25 years, I built what looked like a successful life. A corporate career, a wonderful family and all the milestones I thought would bring fulfilment. From the outside, life looked good.
But somewhere along the way, I realised I'd become so focused on building a good life that I'd stopped asking myself one simple question:
Am I actually enjoying the life I’ve worked so hard to build?
“I wasn't unhappy.
I was disconnected.”
SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY
I’d become very good at playing all the roles.
Like many women, I wore a lot of hats.
Successful career woman.
Wife.
Mum.
The dependable one.
The person who kept everything moving.
Those roles weren't fake, they were all parts of me. But somewhere along the way, I'd forgotten who I was beyond them.
Without realising it, I'd begun measuring my worth by how well I performed those roles, believing fulfilment was waiting on the other side of the next promotion, the next holiday or the next milestone.
THE TURNING POINT
Then the world paused.
While many people experienced the pandemic as a time of uncertainty, it gave me something I hadn't had in years: time and space.
I remember standing in my backyard, looking at my four teenagers, and feeling an overwhelming sense that this unexpected pause was a gift. I realised I might never again have this uninterrupted time with them, or with myself.
It was during that season of stillness that I asked myself a question I'd never really stopped to consider.
Who am I beneath all the roles I've been playing?
The pandemic didn't change my life.
It woke me up to it.
ONE THING LED TO ANOTHER
I didn't have it all mapped out.
For years, I'd carried the dream of writing a book. I'd even started a novel in my twenties but convinced myself I didn't yet have enough life experience to tell the story I wanted to tell.
Standing there in my backyard, I realised something. If I didn't begin now, I might never begin at all.
So I started. Not with a perfectly mapped-out plan, but with curiosity.
01.
MEDITATION
led me back to journaling
02.
JOURNALING
led me back to writing.
03.
WRITING
became a blog.
04.
COACHING
led to deeper conversations
05.
THOSE CONVERSATIONS
inspired It's a Mindset.
06.
MY WRITING
became Worthy & Wealthy.
07.
CURIOSITY ABOUT MINDFULNESS
eventually led me to sound healing.
the quiet rituals
The small things that changed everything.
Along the way, those small daily practices of meditation, journaling, gratitude and reflection became far more than habits.
They became the quiet rituals that helped me slow down, tune in and respond to life with greater intention. Instead of constantly looking outside myself for the answers, I began trusting the wisdom that had been there all along.
Those practices didn't remove life's challenges. They simply gave me something I hadn't had before: awareness. And with awareness came choice.
“The greatest transformation wasn't building a business.
It wasn't writing a book.
It was becoming the person who could do those things.”
- Emma Lagerlow
A NEW CHAPTER
I wasn’t becoming someone new.
Leaving a successful corporate career wasn't easy. After spending more than two decades building one identity, it felt incredibly vulnerable to step into another.
I worried what people would think. Would they take me seriously? Would people think I'd completely lost the plot?
But over time, I realised I wasn't becoming someone new.
I was simply returning to the person I'd always been beneath the roles I'd been playing for so long.
TODAY
I measure success differently.
My life looks different. Not because it's perfect.
Life is still beautifully full. I'm still a wife, a mum of four, a friend, a daughter and a business owner. I still experience uncertainty, challenges and seasons of growth.
The difference is that I no longer measure success solely by achievement.
I measure it by how I feel when I wake up each day, the quality of my relationships and whether I'm living in alignment with what matters most.
And when life becomes busy or challenging (as it inevitably does), I have the awareness, rituals and tools to respond with intention instead of simply reacting.
PURPOSE
Everything I create is connected by the same purpose.
Whether I'm coaching, hosting the It's a Mindset podcast, facilitating a Soulful Sound Immersion, writing or simply sharing what I'm learning along the way, my hope is always the same:
To help women reconnect with themselves and intentionally create lives they genuinely love waking up to.
Because I don't believe you need to completely reinvent your life. I believe the life you're looking for often begins by remembering who you are beneath the roles you've been playing.
