From Stay-at-Home Mum to Life Coach

A Crossroads of Change and The Clairvoyant's Curveball

Ten years ago, I found myself at a crossroads, not sure which path to take. I’d been a stay-at-home mum for almost seven years, looking after my four kids. It's funny how life changes you. I thought I'd be a stay-at-home mum forever, but as I moved past the baby phase, I started craving something more. I just didn't know what that looked like.

So, I decided to see a clairvoyant. She threw me a curveball. She insisted that I should become a counsellor. Meanwhile, I was contemplating whether to return to the city for a high-flying job in banking or find a local marketing role. It wasn't the drastic career change the clairvoyant suggested.

I did explore counselling after that reading, but the idea of more studying didn't appeal to me at the time. Instead, I landed a fantastic marketing job at a local pharmaceutical business. I spent almost eight years there, working my way up to National Marketing Manager. It was a great decision.

However, deep down, the clairvoyant's words lingered in my mind. As I began to build my own business, it led me on a journey of self-discovery. But, before I could write for others, I needed to understand myself and what I wanted to write about.

I realised that my journey of self-discovery was intricately linked to my passion for helping others. I adore people and I relish the opportunity to meet new individuals, engage in meaningful conversations, and share moments of joy and laughter.

From Exhaustion to Empowerment on the Journey of Motherhood

Being a mum, I also love hanging out with other mums. However, I noticed a common struggle among many of us.

Caught up in the demands of daily life, I was living life on autopilot, neglecting my own needs. I believed that spending time with friends on weekends was enough to recharge, and I could soldier on with family and work commitments. But it wasn't cutting it. I ended up feeling more exhausted during the week, with little patience for my teenagers, and the strain began to show.

My intuition led me to study life coaching, and through it, I've learned so much about myself. I've had multiple coaches who have become invaluable to me. A personal trainer gets me in shape, a business coach helps me grow my coaching business, and spiritual coaches guide me to worry less about others' opinions and be true to myself. It's been eye-opening and life-changing every single day.

Paving the Way for Self-Discovery and Fulfilment

My studies and my incredible coaches taught me the "oxygen mask theory." It's about putting myself first so I can be the best version for everyone else. Prioritising my own well-being has brought harmony to my family life. I have more patience, love, understanding, and acceptance. Having a sense of purpose through my coaching business has fulfilled me and spilled over into every aspect of my life.

I feel a calling to help other women who feel the same way I did - overwhelmed, exhausted, and just going through the motions. Women who neglect themselves, waiting for their kids to leave so they can focus on their own needs. But it doesn't have to be that way.

If you resonate with these struggles and yearn for a transformative shift in your own life, I invite you to reach out to me. You can be great mum and feel good about yourself too. It's possible, and I'd love to help you get there. Together, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth.
